The Story
Paradise can be found anywhere. Even in a former service station…
Once upon a time there was a derelict, 1923-built servo based in North Perth. A beautiful building full of character and soul. This building wasn’t just a servo though, it was a historic piece of architecture in need of honouring.
With Chinta on the move from Double View in 2016, owners Robyn and Graham set out to do just that, to bring that servo back to life.
Serving the most incredible Asian fusion dishes, beautiful High Tea experiences and pop up events, the ‘Chinta experience’ was born. Your very own tropical paradise in Perth.
Love does not make the world go round, it makes the ride worthwhile.
Robyn and Graham have retained the building’s aesthetic while recreating Chinta tranquility. Robyn calls the new cafe, “a beautiful industrial, tropical space”, with an emphasis on the “space”.
Showcasing mindful local products as well as pieces designed and made in Indonesia, Brunch, Coffee, Juice (and now cocktails), plus High Tea, Chinta remains a local family run business.
Good food and music are the universal languages that bring people together.
The Project
The Good Folk was invited to help activate the Chinta High Tea events, pop up family experiences, restaurant booking website and ongoing marketing.
